Use this to add a selective amount of gentle deceleration before a limit is hit. The system monitors the operating speed as a camera approaches a limit. Like an auto-braking system in a car, the Limit Softening will detect when the camera is approaching a limit and take over at the last possible second to gently guide the camera to a stop.
The higher settings can be quite aggressive and take over the deceleration early to bring the camera to a very gentle stop. This is helpful when you want the camera to perfectly hit a mark with a repeatable deceleration curve.
