Receiver Pairing
When to pair a receiver
[!] In general you should not need to pair a receiver with your wheels very often. Receivers remember their pairing even through firmware updates.
You should pair a receiver when:
- The Receiver does not appear to provide downlink data on the dashboard.
- The Receiver only works on one wireless frequency and changing the frequency results in a red light on the Receiver.
- You get a new or additional Receiver.
Pairing Procedure
[$] Pairing is simple. If a Receiver successfully communicates over Hardwire, it is paired.
Steps for pairing.
- Make sure the Receiver and wheels are on the same firmware.
- Connect the Receiver to the Inertia Wheels with the included Hardwire cable.
- Power the Receiver (either via USB or with the gimbal)
- In the Inertia Wheels set the Output > Signal Path: Wired.
- Wait for the LED on the Receiver to go BLUE and stay blue.
Once the Receiver LED is blue while it is connected over Hardwire, it has paired.
Troubleshooting
Pairing can fail if:
- The Receiver is not on the same firmware as the wheels
- The Signal Path is not actually set to Hardwire (it could be wirelessly transmitting and will not bind over wireless)
- The Receiver is not powered
